Operational AI CyberNext
28-29 JANUARY 2020
#OPSAI
Design Problem
AF CyberWorx, in partnership with the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) and the 70 ISR Wing, and Partnership Intermediary C-TRAC, hosted this two-day event in the Air Force Academy’s Polaris Hall with over 60 participants in attendance.
The forum sought to educate members of the military and government on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being used currently in industry, and how they might use it operationally, especially in big data, strategic planning, decision support, human-machine teaming, and object recognition.
Outcomes:
#OpsAI brought together 10 companies and 24 government entities for a time of presenting, networking, and problem-solving using human-centered design. The first day included presentations from each company and deep dive breakout sessions for members of the military to meet in smaller groups with the industry experts. The second day incorporated human-centered design to pair operational use cases with viable solutions. AF CyberWorx and C-TRAC also gave participants the chance to learn about streamlined contracting opportunities for Small Businesses.
Proposed Solutions:
Breakout groups discussed how AI could enhance operations in the following categories:
-
-
- Monitoring
- Detection/Characterization
- Augmented Intelligence
- Networks
- Talent Management/Matching
- Machine Learning
- Knowledge Integration
